Orchardside

: Orchardside Exterior

A charming, converted farm building with two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two twin beds. The living has a double futon and there is a single bed on the lakeside porch. Orchardside has a full kitchen and bathroom, painted wood floors and a furnace for heat. It is across the service drive from the lake and shares the large main beach and two docks with Postscript, Cheerio and Upper Story. It accommodates up to seven people.

2026 Season

Wandawood Resort is open from mid-May to mid-October, except for Oak Leaf and Pilgrim, which are available year round.

Weekly rentals (Friday to Friday) are available during our peak season (Jun 20 - Aug 27, 2026).

Weekly and nightly rentals are available during our shoulder season (2 night minimum stay required; 3 night minimum during holiday weekends).

Discounted rates apply during our shoulder season as follows:

10% off: (Jun 1-19, 2026 and Aug 28-Sept. 4, 2026 excluding Labor Day weekend).

20% off: (May, 2026 excluding Memorial weekend, and after Labor Day until the resort closing date in mid-October).

Booking your reservation:
We do not have on-line reservations. Please check availability. If the week/cottage you desire is available, please email. Upon receipt, we will send a confirmation email along with the deposit request invoice. If the week and/or cottage you desire is not available you may fill out a wait list form.

Deposit:
A 10% non-refundable deposit is due at the time your reservation is made. An additional 40% is due 6 months prior to your reservation date. The balance is due upon arrival.

Cancellations:
Deposits will be refunded (less the 10%) as follows:

Summer:
No later than 120 DAYS prior to the reserved date.

Spring and Fall:
No later than 30 DAYS prior to the reserved date.

Beyond that, the deposit will only be refunded if the date(s) reserved are reserved by another group. This applies to each week on a multi-week reservation and each cottage on a multi-cottage reservation.

Cottage Details: All beds have mattress covers, bed spreads, comforters and pillows. There is a full kitchen with frig, stove, microwave, toaster and coffee maker along with all of the utensils, dishes, pots/pans, etc. Each cottage has a picnic table, charcoal grill and outdoor chairs.

What to Bring (all cottages except Oak Leaf, Pilgrim and Wandawood Hall – see below)

Bedding: Sheets and pillow cases

Bathroom Necessities: Towels, wash cloths, hand soap, shampoo, t.p (starter roll provided)

Kitchen: Dish cloths and hand towels, dish soap, paper towel, garbage bags, coffee and filters

Beach/Picnic: Beach towels, dock chairs, life jackets (as needed), charcoal/lighter fluid

For the sporty bunch, throw in your tennis rackets, fishing poles, golf clubs, watercraft and bicycles. Our focus is peace and relaxation, so cottages are free of TVs. Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort.

(Oak Leaf and Pilgrim – linens and supplies, are included, with the exception of beach towels. There is a gas grill, cable TV, washer/dryer, A/C and forced air heat, in addition to the above mentioned items; Wandawood Hall – linens and supplies, are included, with the exception of beach towels. There are two charcoal grills, washer/dryer, forced air heat, in addition to the above mentioned items)

During the prime season check-in is between 2-4 pm and check-out is at 9 am.

During the shoulder season an earlier check-in time and later check-out time is likely available.

The following requests are made prior to departure:

Leave the cottage key on the counter and your door unlocked
Turn off all lights and heat/air conditioning.
Close and latch all windows.
Take garbage and recyclables to the nearest receptacle
Report any maintenance issues
Return borrowed items to other cottages and/or the Wandawood Office

House broken dogs continue to be welcome in all cottages except Brownie, Pioneer, Wandawood Hall, Oak Leaf and Pilgrim House.

If your dog does not vacation well or has anxiety being in a new environment, please leave him at home. If leaving your dog alone leads to inappropriate behavior (chewing or scratching); then please keep him crated when you are gone. If your dog barks when left alone, crated or otherwise, you will need to make other arrangements for him. Please keep your dog off the beds and furniture. Also, please clean up after your dog.

Two dogs maximum per dog friendly cottage. An additional fee of $90 per dog per week ($18/day), will be added to your bill. Should your dog cause damage to the property, you will be billed.

Watercraft Rental:

We rent canoes, rowboats, paddle boards and kayaks. You can call to reserve one or let us know upon arrival.

Rowboats:           $80/week; $15/day
Canoes:                 $80/week; $15/day
Kayaks:                 $80/week; $15/day
Paddle Boards:   $30/week; $5/day

Boat Policy:

If you are planning on bringing a boat we have mooring buoys for your convenience. Additional anchorage is recommended. You may tie your boat up to the dock during the day while you are on the premises, weather permitting. At night you must moor your boat to prevent boat and dock damage should the wind pick up. We are not liable for any damage to your boat, whether you are using our mooring buoy system, or otherwise.

We do not allow jet skis at Wandawood.
